Furniture Care and Usage Guidelines

These guidelines will help you maintain your furniture's appearance and ensure its longevity.

General Care and Storage:

  • Temperature: Store furniture between +10°C and +28°C (50°F and 82°F). Avoid extreme temperature fluctuations.
  • Cold Weather Transport: If furniture is transported in temperatures below freezing, allow it to acclimate in a warm room for at least 24 hours before use.
  • Humidity: Maintain a relative humidity of 40-65% in the storage and usage areas. Avoid excessively dry or humid environments.
  • Sunlight: Protect furniture from direct sunlight, as it can cause fading and damage.
  • Placement:
    • Avoid direct sunlight.
    • Keep furniture at least one meter away from heat sources.
    • Prevent direct contact with water.
    • Do not store or use furniture in damp areas.

Moving: When moving furniture, lift it slightly from the floor, avoiding lifting by handles unless specifically designed for that purpose. For larger items, proper lifting techniques and equipment are recommended.

Protection During Transport and Storage: Securely protect furniture during transport and storage from:
  • Heat
  • Chemical solvents
  • Moisture and dampness
  • Dirt
  • Strong shocks and impacts
  • Heavy objects
  • Dropping from any height

Specific Material Care:

1. Leather Furniture:

  • Do not use chemical stains, solvents, or abrasive cleaners on leather. These can damage the surface and color.
  • Avoid contact with pigmented surfaces (e.g., carpets, upholstery), especially light-colored leather, as color transfer may occur.
  • For dust and dirt, use a soft, damp (not wet) flannel cloth.
  • For heavier soiling, use a mild solution of neutral soap and water on a damp cloth. Wipe with smooth, circular motions.
  • At least twice a year, treat the leather with a specialized leather conditioner to prevent aging and cracking. Follow the conditioner's instructions. Consult a furniture care professional for recommendations

2. Fabric and Wooden Furniture:

  • Upholstered furniture is designed for sitting and reclining in residential settings. Use it only for its intended purpose.
  • Operate furniture in a cool, dry environment. Avoid placing it near heat sources.
  • The recommended air temperature is +10°C to +28°C (50°F to 82°F) with a relative humidity of 40-65%. Ventilate the room regularly.
  • Protect packaged furniture during transport and storage from moisture, dirt, strong shocks, impacts, and dropping.

Usage Precautions:

  • Do not subject furniture to unusual loads.
  • Do not sit on backs or arms of chairs, run, or jump on furniture. This can cause structural damage.
  • Distribute weight evenly on furniture and do not exceed the following maximum load limits:
    • Seat: Static - 100 kg (220 lbs), Dynamic - 80 kg (176 lbs)
    • Armrests: Static - 30 kg (66 lbs), Dynamic - 20 kg (44 lbs)
    • Bed: Static - 110 kg (243 lbs), Dynamic - 80 kg (176 lbs)
    • Bed Slats: Static - 35 kg (77 lbs) per slat
    • Linen Box Bottom: 15 kg (33 lbs) distributed weight

By following these guidelines, you will maximize the lifespan and maintain the appearance of your furniture.
